We are owners at NCV and I know some of the buildings have had a recent update. Does anyone know what buildings have had that? We are headed there this summer and want to try getting one of the updated rooms.

In March, on our morning walks, we noted that they were working on the 1xxx bldgs. ( I would guess that they have done more bldgs since then. ) I would never suggest the 1xxx bldgs to anyone so don't request a newly renovated bldg. The upper floors of the other bldgs in the resort can have nice views

I can't remember specifically, so if you want to request one, you should call and ask…they are really nice at the front desk. I think it was like the low 1000 buildings maybe up to 1700??? It was sent in an update from NCV a few months ago you should have received as an owner there. We actually were in 3900 and it was not refurbished, however, the grout in the master shower and tub looked brand new…was nice and clean. Also, the big tub was different…it wasn’t as deep and had a littlehandle to help get in and out (and it wasn’t a handicap room). It was great and unexpected, as I know they are going to be taking out the tubs. I like having the tubs and will be sad to see them go.

***Edited…just found the email…these are the buildings…

We have never stayed anywhere BUT the 1100 and 1200 buildings in all the 20+ years we have owned. For many years, there were small paths to the sidewalk on Newport Coast road, making it a snap to get down to the beach from the parking lot. Now you have to go behind the buildings to the fire road or down some stairs by the lower pool, not a big deal. We are bike riders so really like the ease of getting out at the stoplight, without having to navigate the roads within the resort. If you request the highest floor in Bldg 1200 ( and probably up to 1800) you will have a view of the ocean with no buildings to look at. The re-designed pool is right out your door. There was a year however when my husband accidentally said to put us in Bldg 1000. It was horrible. There probably were no other owners there and it was very noisy. I am sure they wonder why we always ask for these lower bldgs... but we like it and are not in our room enough during the day to sit and ponder the distant waters.
