NCV second week….need to change

Hello,
We purchased additional weeks at NCV. We thought we would need two of our weeks to overlap in July 20234. Got both weeks reserved. However, we are thinking that things are different and we actually would like two consecutive weeks..not sure all of our grown adult kids will be there at the same time, so could spread it out…literally. So how should I enter this into interval for an exchange back into our resort but for the week after our first week? Is this crazy? Will a platinum July week retrade into first of August week?

I take it that you own 2 weeks at NCV and that you had booked as MVC weeks? The issue with using II to do a retrade is that there are very few summer deposits into II. You can try an exchange first without depositing your week in case nothing comes through. Personally, I won't bother with II for summer weeks at NCV. II defaults request to start on Thursdays. The end date is for the latest that you want to check in. Thereafter, you can call II to fix the check-in date/day on that request.

If you own floating weeks, have you called MVC to see if there's availability? If it's resale and not enrolled, there's a $35 change fee.

Too late for any availability at NCV for summer 2024 through Marriott. Your only hope would be through II or possibly a direct trade with an owner who wanted July and and could only get August. As mentioned with II do a request first so you don't give up your week before the trade comes through. I'd also go on FB's NVC page and ask any owners there to swap. That is probably your best chance.

Prime summer weeks at Newport Coast are rarely deposited into II. You cannot count on this occurring.
Your odds are extremely low, especially since you need one specific date.

I am confused. Is there a specific week you need? I have an early July week reserved there.

No, actually, we have decided to just leave things as is, with the overlapping of two weeks.
