I am looking to do an II exchange to either NC or TN. I am looking for a place near whitewater rafting but the resort directory lists a ton of different areas especially in NC and I can't seem to make out which areas are close to rafting. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't whitewater raft myself anymore, but do flyfish some of the rivers that may interest you. The Pigeon River in TN/NC is probably what you are looking for [has some class 4 water and several outfitters] in the Great Smokey Mountain region.

So, look for resorts in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Knoxville, Tennessee area. April to Oct timeframe is when I've seen them on the water.
