We are thinking of renting a car through National which we can do through our resorts (Cabo Villas Beach Resort) website. Does anyone know how it works in picking the car up at the airport? Is it pretty easy. I always like to know ahead what to expect when doing something new.

Just walk out the door, go down the steps and you will see the shuttles to take you to the rental car agencies. DO NOT stop before you exit the airport and talk to all of the people who will be yelling to you unless you want to do a timeshare presentation. You will also be offered discounts on your rental when you get to the agency but you have to do a timeshare tour.
We're heading to Cago from 11/5 to 19, can't wait!

I bet you will be at Villa de Arco?? We will be at Playa Grande that week. Will be at Cabo villas the week before.
We can't wait either.

Thanks for the info....we have learned not to stop on the way out the door.
No more timeshare offers!! We are done.

National Car Rental

We will be in Cabo in January (our first time). We are thinking about purchasing the Los Cabos Passport for discounts on restaurants and activities. I also noted on their website that it can be used for 50% off a National Car rental. I don't know if anyone has done this since we are planning on purchasing the Passport for the car rental. We wouldn't be opposed to doing a timeshare presentation while we are there (only for the perks, we would never buy from them).

Judy, we will be at Villa del Palmar 11/5 to 12 and then Villa del Arco 11/12 to 19. It will be just the two of us the first week. Four friends will be joining us the second week. If anyone wants to meet up, let me know. There is a get together thru Trip Advisor on Mon 11/7 and 11/14 at 1:00 at Rips. Anyone can go.
dmiller1, I have never gotten the passport so I can't comment. I personally like the voucher concept much better as I have used them before and was very pleased how they worked. We use the vouchers thru Los Cabos guide for restaurants. We rented our cars thru their website with Budget for the first time. I thought their rates were really good. I don't think we have to get vouchers for the car rental but will find out when I order our restaurant vouchers next week.

Carole,

I am looking forward to hearing about the car rental with the vouchers. I just reserved a minivan through Luis at Alamo. Send me a pm if you want the information.

Thanks again, Diana

There will be four of us and several suitcases, coolers etc. so have decided to just take the shuttle to the resort and then rent a car for the next day to do our shopping. The shuttle driver can load and unload the luggage!
We will be at Cabo Villas oct. 29 to Nov. 5 and then alone at Playa Grande Nov. 5 to the 12th. I noticed on the weather channel that it has been in the 90's there this week. It sounds like good beach weather!
