....but WHERE can I see my reservations online?

I feel I have clicked thru EVERY link...but I am obviously missing it.
Could someone post specific instructions about how to 'look-up' my current resies?

This is VERY easy to do on the Marriott owner website - click on 'my reservations' and there is a 3 year history of resies and usage.

HELP

I did not know that such a feature existed on mystarcentral. If it did, that would be cool!

Starwood is apparently not aware of it, either! :hysterical:

Well, of course, you are supposed to keep track by filing all those email confirmations they send you.... oh, wait, those only come through half the time...

I'd be thrilled to get them even just half the time. I've NEVER gotten an email confirmation (after multiple attempts, email addresses provided, etc. Even when they say they had their systems department send the email instead of sending it directly from the reservation system itself, that still doesn't work....)

I just changed a reservation earlier this week and while on the phone with the rep asked to have the confirmation sent to different e-mail addresses, all within seconds of each other. The e-mail to my home address (TimeWarner's Roadrunner) never got there, but the ones to work and a gmail address worked fine.

The rep told me that apparently may ISP's have Starwood's mail server blacklisted as a purveyor of spam. They''ve done whatever it takes to try to get off these lists, but often they are back on shortly thereafter. She acknowledged this has been going on for a long time and continues to be a problem but they have little control. I do know some ISPs implement these black lists where mail from certain mail servers is summarily rejected and never even gets into their system. It is possible that the mail server for reservation confirmations is different than the one they use for other mailings so that is why you get some offers from them but not the e-mail confirmations. I'm not a big fan of these blacklists because often all it takes is for a few people to send your address in and you're toast. Different lists work differently and different ISPs use different blacklist providers. That is why e-mails get to some addresses but not others.

Well if that were true why do I get all that Starwood advertising??? I don't think so... They definitely have a problem on their end. I got my confirmation by e-mail the 1st year but after that I could never get another one. I tired all 3 of my e-mail addresses. But I sure get everything else from Starwood. I get my monthly SPG statement, I get special offers, etc..

What I am doing is sending Starwood an email thru the internal mail system on MyStarCentral - and saying "This is my reservation number - could you email this to me?"
I don't get the email but at least I have a record of the reservation number - date and resort right there.

Having online access seems like such a simple thing - and would save SO much time for them from people like us calling - and the starcentral itself seems like a sophisticated website - so who knows!

More to the point, how come Marriott doesn't seem to have this problem? How come I can reserve my Marriott week online in real-time? How come if I have a Marriott hotel rep make my reservation, it can still show up on the Marriott website?

The fact is that as much as I like the Starwood product, they are in the Stone Ages in terms of technology and there is not one excuse that I believe. They should be embarrassed enough to fix this stuff once and for all.

My personal opinion as to why they don't have an online reservation system is because they like the control that you can only get with a manual system. It's hard to argue that you should have been assigned a better view vs. the guy standing next to you when neither of you has a confirmation, or proof of timestamp, in hand.

There are so many areas where Starwood could be more transparent -- from the entire reservations system, to canceling projects without notifying the owners, to giving only 2 weeks' notice given for annual meetings -- and they choose not to be. They choose to be vague for a reason. The question is why?
