I like both, but I am partial to owning weeks in Marriott. Trading it in Interval with preference can not be beat and their destinations in Europe and Asia (though limited) I would actually use. Maui is a favourite destination for my family and Marriott & Vistana have the best properties there too.

Until this year, I probably would have plugged Marriott Vacation Club. However, with their maintenance fees seemingly spiraling upward and out of control, I would probably vote for Hilton Grand Vacations Club instead.

Like @dioxide45, this is the first time that MVC MF increase has made me no longer want to be a MVC owner.

We are think about divesting it sooner than we had planned, likely over the next 5 years as opposed to 10.

Neither, too costly! You can get a week or weeks in the Caribbean at Bluebeards Castle, St Thomas starting at $1,000. Use that week to trade out thru II or RCI to wherever. Depending on the building you are in the maintenance fees start at $875 a year. Find it on the Marketplace tab under Castle Villas 3.
