So, I see people talk about sometimes not having availability of say a 2BR and needing to get 2 1BR etc. With Hotels, if this comes up, I literally set qty2 basically in the room selection.
In my limited experience with HGVC and RCI it's obviously not that simple seeming. (or is it?) What I mean is that in HGVC it looks impossible to just get two of the same room type, in the grid it's always one line for each type of room shown, but presumably they have more than the 8 units shown in most of the resorts, and multiples of a type. Do you do one reservation, reload and see if there's also availability for the second one? And if not, cancel the first reservation and keep looking?
Kind of the same with RCI from my recollection on my recent exchange and my looking at Last Call etc. And I guess to do that at all you need a guest certificate also?
IDK, just thinking that while I almost always want 2BR or more, it's all adults, and we don't actually have to be in the same unit, just need the separate bedrooms. And from what I understand, smaller units have more availability, so in some cases I'd be well served by a 2BR and a Studio just as much as a 3BR unit (of course it might cost more). In that case I can see how the reservation might work, but not entirely sure if the system actually allows one owner to reserve multiple units (assuming points or whatever) for a bigger group to go at the same resort and time.
Any tips and tricks?
