I was just pointing out that the NIH (and the FDA) are now headed by people who are not friendly towards mRNA technology, so I would not pin great hopes on it being available in this country.

That's not true. What might be true is these officials are not friendly towards fast tracking drugs or the conflicts of interests regarding influence of the pharmaceutical companies. To me this is a good thing.

That's not true. Terminally ill people are allowed compassionate use or expanded access regarding many unapproved drugs or treatments which is one of the issues RFKjr has always advocated for. RFKjr was the Champion of the "right to try" legislation going against the FDA and pharmaceutical companies. This effort helped many terminally ill people get treatment.

I'm a bit confused. Leave the kids alone? No polio vaccine, no MMR vaccine, no chicken pox vaccine, no tetanus shot, etc.?

I was pregnant with my kids prior to the development of the MMR vaccine. I'll never forget the anxiety I had when DH came home one day covered in a rash. My fear was he had rubella (then called the German measles) that I might contract and if so, what that might do to our baby in utero. A boy who contracts the mumps could end up sterile. The current measles outbreak in TX and NM has resulted in hospital stays for some of the kids who've contracted it.
