Anyone catch the comments the other day in the Marriott earnings call that Hilton's loyalty membership is about to surpass Marriott Bonvoy?

Interesting to see this development - I think many Marriott Bonvoy members have been witnessing the devaluation of the program and now maybe there is a reconning. However the Marriott Leadership Team doesn't seem to be too concerned as they feel size does not matter, it's all about "engagement".

I've been slowly moving my business trip stays to Hilton last few years since SPG takeover. Everything has changed since Marriott takeover. The Westin staffs just don't care anymore. They used to know me by name and knew my preference. SPG is the reason I purchased timeshares because I wanted to stay at Westin forever. Since I moved my business to Hilton, I get what I used to get at Westin. No surprise there Hilton members are increasing.
