Mountain Run at Boyne questions

We are taking our daughter here for her only break during grad school. We will be there 8/22 to 8/29. Our unit is 1123A. Are there any owners that can help me with information on this unit? I know it is a 2 bdrm 6/4. What can we expect for views? Is this resort on a golf course or is it mainly a ski resort? Our daughter really doesn't care, as long as it has a pool and she doesn't have to study anything! :) Since the unit is already assigned, is that written in stone? We usually prefer a top floor unit, would that still be possible if I called prior to arrival? I also noticed on their website that there are units near a lake (Deer Lake?) Are those part of this resort, and can I request one of those? Thanks in advance for any and all help.
 
Boyne Mountain Resort has 2 golf courses. About 25 miles north of Boyne Mountain is the Boyne Highlands Resort, which is just another part of the same operation. Boyne Highlands has 5 golf courses. The Kircher family also owns three 9-hole golf courses near Petosky under the Bay Harbor name. There are also several golf courses at other ski resorts in the area that the Kirchers are not connected with; Shanty Creek is one that immediately comes to mind.

The northern lower peninsula of Michigan is a ski destination in winter and a golf destination in summer.
