Money in Puerto Vallarta

Hi

Although I went to PV a few years ago, I can't recall which was the preferred currency between pesos and dollars.

I seem to remember paying for most things in pesos - is that still the case for most shops, restaurants, etc?

It makes no odds between dollars and pesos for me as I will have to go to a bureau de change for both/either.

If you are changing Pounds, go for Pesos. Dollars are widely accepted but why bother? If you went from Pounds to Dollars, you might find a rare place that would not take them and if they do, your change will usually be in pesos anyway. Plus if you get pesos in change, you will probably get a bad exchange rate.
