I received a letter from Moness Cedar Club, Aberfeldy, Scotland offering a no fee club exit. Membership gives access to the accommodation at Moness as well as the RCI banking and exchanging system. Text of letter below.

Any thoughts on this no fee exit offer?

EXITING THE CLUB WITH NO £NIL EXIT FEE

We understand that these are challenging times, marked by rising costs and a cost-of-living crisis that impacts everyone's disposable income. We have carefully reviewed the comments and feedback we've received over the past few years regarding Cedar Club membership, specifically focusing on the increased annual membership fees and the costs associated with leaving the Club.

The annual membership fee for 2024 has not been determined vet. and it will become available later in the year. However, given the current level of the Retail Price Index (RPI), it is highly probable that the fee and electricity charges will see a significant increase, similar to what occurred last year. The annual membership cost for the Cedar Club now closely aligns with the costs incurred by any member of the public when staying at the resort.

Considering all these factors. we would like to extend a complimentary exit package. What this entails is that you can choose to leave the club immediately without incurring any termination fees or bearing any future liabilities.

Any points that you currently hold and that have been purchased up until now can be used and redeemed at Moness Resort for the remainder of this year and in 2024.

By exiting the Cedar Club, it will not exclude you from staying at Moness in the future. It will simply mean you are not held liable for annual fees by being a member of the Club.

With this in mind, please find enclosed an application form and a stamped, self-addressed envelope related to the termination of your membership contract mentioned above. Upon completion of this process, you will be able to relinquish your membership rights and liabililies to the Club immediately.

Confirmation of the contract termination will be provided in writing 14 days after Moness Group has reviewed and approved the completed documents.

Should you require further information please do not hesitate to contact our Management Services team on <removed>
Yours sincerely.

They are now confiscating points which I’ve never had done in the past. I can hardly get to use them as access is very limited now as it’s full of workmen and very noisy traffic in the morning. No longer a peaceful retreat.

We just called today as we never received any communication from them about 2025 dues. Told our timeshare is gone, fees are nonrefundale and nothing we can do. We've always banked our week as we no longer live closeby, and were told they were negotiating with RCI for 2024 and 2025. So disappointed.
