In early September, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma with metatases to the brain, spine, ribs, adrenal glands and of course the lungs. He smoked for 10 years 35 years ago....Doctors don't think this is smoking related. Anyway, we have been in and out of Yale New Haven Hospital and are fighting this beast daily. He has lost 35 pounds and is very weak.....I just wanted to say how much we miss our old life, the travels and travel planning....now have three timeshares and no where to go.....Cherish every day. You never know what is ahead. Recently retired, we have had a ball the last two years.....I guess that allows us to take the bad stuff now. I continue to appreciiate your prayers. A miracle would be most welcome.

Linda, What a very sad turn of events for you and your DH. I am so sorry. It doesn't sound promising, but we seem to have a prayer train chugging through Tug-ville, and I'm sure he has a comfortable seat.
Thank you for sharing your news, and for the reminder for us to be grateful for our days of good health, and the ability to travel and enjoy life.
Your world has certainly been rocked, and I hope our virtual hand-holding will help you hang on. Prayers and good wishes, Jean

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Donna

Linda,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your hubby. Concentrate on all your happy times together to help you through these tough ones.

Linda,
My heart goes out to both of you. Remember to take care of yourself, too, because this is as difficult on you as it is on him, only in a different, stressful, way.

Linda,
Everything above and more ~ Bless you for reminding others to cherish what we have. May God give you both the strength to endure what you must to see your Miracle through. Prayers are with you,

Thank you so much for all of the prayers. We did get one miracle and that is that three weeks ago he walked our beautiful daughter down the aisle and there was not a dry eye in the church of over 200 people. Somehow, he had the strength to walk her down the aisle and dance with her and stay for the entire wedding reception. The day before it seemed an impossibility....so I do believe in miracles.

Oh Linda, how wonderful for all of you that he was able to walk your daughter down the aisle. It will be one of her (and your) cherished memories, I am sure.
As you face the days ahead I wish you all peace and comfort. And of course, miracles do happen!

Thank you for taking the time to share this special blessing with us.

I know how precious these moments must be to the both of you.

All the best.

There are no words to make it better, but I offer my prayers for your strength and your husbands comfort during this very trying time.

One just never knows how lucky you are until you look around yourself.
