Has anyone had points posted for this or a similar Vistana promo? Or not posted - I am interested in data points either way.

I booked a resort using StarOptions from the list during the promo, and stayed, all according to the terms, but have not received the promised 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. The stay itself has posted to my Bonvoy account, I received 7 elite qualifying nights and 1,000 elite points, but the additional 10,000 bonus points have not posted.

I contacted Vistana by email from the dashboard, and got a reply that I have to wait 6 weeks. Even though there was nothing about 6 weeks in the terms, and no actual terms and conditions were available at all, other than the screenshot below. So I waited 6 weeks, no points, I emailed again.

I got a reply, this time from resolution services, telling me to call Marriott Bonvoy. I called Marriott Bonvoy, and they told me I must contact Vistana since it was a Vistana promotion and Vistana must credit the points.

I am getting a run around.

We've done this a few times and the points posted every time. They post in your Bonvoy account as ARRIVAL PROMOTION BONUS. I was able to find two such transactions in my history from last year, they posted on 11/18 and 12/2 for stays that ended 11/14 and 11/21. My wife had one post this year on 3/21 for a stay that ended on 3/17. So they post relatively quickly.

I used a similar offer at Sheraton Broadway Resort last month. Within a day or two after making the reservation I received an email telling me my stay was eligible for the promotion and to “Please visit the Concierge desk upon arrival for details regarding fulfillment.”

Since I checked in later in the evening the concierge desk was closed. As I had no interest in attending an owner’s update I called the concierge the next day and told them about this offer and asked what needed to be done for me to receive the points. The lady I spoke to was very polite & said she would update their system that I had checked in for the promotion.

The 10,000 points posted without issue about a week later.

I recall asking the concierge about it when we checked in at Broadway Resort earlier this year, they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I don't really remember mentioning it to the concierge on either of the other stays where we received the points.
