No, that is not my conclusion. There are many lowdown business practices on the web and everywhere else. My conclusion is that there is not a company, individual, or program in existence that can provide web privacy. If a person wants privacy that person must stay off the web.
Just ask the DoD.
If I understood TR_Oglydyte's post correctly, you are debating an argument that he did not make. I did not interpret him as somehow reifying privacy as an unassailable right. Rather, he was specifically attacking Google's business practices as they pertain to privacy. I too understand that I don't have privacy by being on the internet, but that in no way suggests that therefore the business practices of those who enable internet navigation and commerce are above reproach when it comes to privacy. That is a non-sequitur.
