We are owners in Miami and have been there 4 times in the last 6 months. The hotel does not provide any chairs or chaises and only provides beach towels.There are many vendors on the beach renting chairs, umbrellas and chaises for the day. For the 4 of us, it would run about $40-60 per day to rent such items. So what we did was go to the local Walgreens and buy beach chairs. They range from $16.00-$35.00. The $16.00 ones are flimsy and the more expensive ones had a pillow etc...Depending on how long you stay, this may work out better for you. Except for this one issue, we love the resort.
Instead of the Board buying themselves IPADS, I wish they would have considered their owners and purchased chairs, umbrellas etc... for the use of the owners --- but my request has fallen on dead ears.

ooooohhhh, a long weekend with the hubby!
The hubby and I were just in the area (in Sunny Isles) for a week at the beginning of the month. You just can't beat Miami for a couple's getaway. So much to do....better make it a nice long weekend. Go and have some fun!

Visit one of the beach-bars down the street, ask for a watermelon martini,
and watch the circus stroll by.
Go thru downtown Miami to Viscaya, a Mediteranian villa built in 1916.

Lunch in Coconut Grove at the Green Street Ourdoor Lounge & Restaurant.

Drive out to Cape Florida at the end of Key Biscayne. Tour the Lighthouse.

Backtrack to the Bayside Markeyplace and do a boat tour.

1. Have breakfast at the Front Porch one block north. The pizza across the street is not bad either.
2. Walk down Espanola Way (a few blocks South). Perhaps have dinner on that block. We like the French Cafe on the left a few blocks down.
3. Make a reservation at Smith and Wollensky all the way at the end of South Beach and ask for a table on the glass. Try for a 5:30 Sunday reservation and watch the cruise ships go by.
4. Go to a Marlins game at the new Stadium
5. Joe's Stone Crab restaurant.
6. Take the Art Deco tour at the Visitor's Center on Ocean Drive.
7. Enjoy the Beach
