Has anyone stayed here recently? Anyone own here?
Any details (good and bad) greatly appreciated. Particularly interested in golf on property; distance and fees.
Thanks,
Marge

I own there and also stayed there this summer. We thoughly enjoyed our visit in July except for the heat wave in the area at the time we were there. The unit we were in was in excellent condition and was very nicely furnished. Patio with gas grill overlooked the golf course. The staff goes out of their way to be sure your stay is an enjoyable one. All units are 2BR.

Didn't do any golfing (temperature ranged from 104 -112 while we were there). I believe most of the units overlook the golf course. Also there are several very nice courses in the area. We did do day trips to Grand Canyon North Rim, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and Hoover Dam while there.

Each unit is furnished with a golf cart and a bucket of range balls. Here is a link to their website https://www.mastersvillas.com/.

Hope that helps.......

July visit also

We traded into there in July. Very nice units all one level with a two car garage. Very small resort with small pool. They do provide you access to a larger pool down the street. You also have access to a golf cart to get around. Driving range is right there and you get a coupon for a free bucket of balls at check in. My DH and DS played a round of golf at one of the courses and also got a discount. Said the course was very nice, although the temps were very hot.

We also went to Las Vegas, North Rim Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion NP while there. We wrote a review upon our return for the review section. I hope this helps.

Thank you. I am thinking of buying from an individual (very reasonable), and the place looked/sounded good on their site. As we all know, that cannot always be counted on to be current... I did check TUG reviews too.
This would be a surprise for my golf loving hubby, and I would enjoy the Utah parks within a few hours drive.
So far I am hearing only positives. That's good!
Thanks again,
Marge

You may also want to call and ask about their resales. This would give you an idea of what the resort is charging. I know they had every year and every other year offers.

Marge,

I see that you live in FL, so I assume that you are used to pricey golf? It is all relative.......golf in the immediate area is $150+ and somewhat less within less than one hour's drive (and a ton of absolutely beautiful, fabulous courses).

The units are THE BEST timeshare that we have ever stayed in - they are 2 bedroom duplexes that are basically deluxe residential properties. If the price is "reasonable"? - I'd jump on it for a golf lover!!!

The big question though, fixed or floating week - and if fixed, which week? Winter will be COLD and summer will be HOT - we were there the first week of April and it was perfect.

Best of luck and keep us posted!

Thanks everyone for your input. I did buy the EOY, float week 1-22 and 40-52. No summer oven!

I ended up telling him when I wanted him to sign the docs. Although the big surprise (and it still was), of just taking him there was attractive, I didn't want to spend extra $$ down the road to add him to the deed, etc.
He is a very happy guy :D

The resort looks nice, and staff very cooperative when answering my many questions. MF's a little high, but there are farily good discounts for golf in the area when you are an owner there. For purchase price of $500, it's worth it to find out...

My biggest surprise for him is a trip to Scotland for his 50th in August 2009!
I have been working on that trip for a year already. And he won't know a thing until we get to the airport and he sees the destination at check in. I even tricked him into renewing his passport, by planning a trip to western Canada (6/07) so he would need it. ;)

surprises sure are fun when they work...

Mesquite is a great place if you like to play Black Jack for small stakes. Both the Eureka and Virgin River Casinos have $2 tables.

We are thinking of trading in here mid January - anyone been here recently??
Thank you!
