I just bought a 2 bed 2 bath in unit type legacy master suite in Legacy Park Resort after attending a presentation in NV.

They showed me some place on the map across the river near estates. However, I am not able to find anymore information online.

The contract states that I have bought into legacy park resort building one, located in fraction A of the property resulting from the merger of parcels 130, 129 etc.

Please help as I am still within my 5 days when I am allowed to cancel.

Pls. also suggest what all I need to do to cancel as I am already back to USA!

Hi
We recently visited Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta. We were offered the legacy park resort - legacy master suite (2Bd 3 bath) unit. They said it's coming up near the estates facing the ocean. It is slated to be completed by October 2024.

But I can seem to find any map/info about this brand in the website/any forums.

Does anyone know or have any scoop about this tower/contract?

You should rescind immediately and research the resale market where timeshares can be bought for pennies on the dollar. Even if you change your mind and decide you still want to buy direct (you won’t), I promise you you will still be able to do that, but if you don’t rescind in the 5 day period and later decide you want to, you will lose that chance forever.

If you purchased than you should immediately rescind the contract. Follow the instructions in your contract on where to send it to. Make sure everyone who signed the original contract signs the rescission letter and send it by certified mail. You will thank us later.

Hi @naina227
Welcome to TUG

If you purchased & you are beyond the 5 days to rescind - read your contract.
It is a new brand & I believe your post is the second TUG mention of it.

Key points to note :
1) Vidanta "sister brands" that you can use [ construction completion dates are an estImate ]
2) ARP or advanced reservation period - how many months ahead of usage can a reservation be made

********
I am requesting your thread be moved to the TUG Mexican Forum

We were presented with the same offer while in Nuevo Vallarta in Oct/Nov 23 - this is supposedly "Daniels" way of thanking the legacy investor's in Vidanta, and per the Vida Vultures - only being offered to long time contract holders (HA HA HA HA) as well as something that has been in the works for awhile.

in our case it was an additional $18K investment....... also per Vida Sales group - these are going to be the only ocean front suites available in Nuevo Vallarta.

no way they are ocean-facing else they'd have been proudly advertising the location rather than hiding it.

They are probably near the theme park, far away from GM and GL.

Hey, I did some digging on my own, and it looks like the place might be close to the theme park. Supposedly, it's called Legacy Park Resort near Legacy Entertainment's water park But, it's all just guesswork because the sales folks won't spill the beans on the exact spot. Waiting for a call from member services tomorrow to cancel my contract after shooting them an email and registered mail. Let's see if I can squeeze the info out of them.

There is Vidanta owned ocean front / facing property on the other side of the Ameca River - near the Estates location.

- of course there are some legacy owners of Bliss brand contracts [circa 2010- 13] who are still awaiting the " completion / opening of the
Nuevo Vallarta Bliss - [ that Vida Sales sold them ] .

Don’t bother talking to sales they’ll just lie to you. Just make sure you sent the rescission letter to the place specified in the contract by certified mail and you are fine.

Does it matter exactly where it is on the massive Vidanta property? Building one, located in Fraction A sounds as if you're one of the first to buy into something that's not built yet. You'll get to stay in their other 'levels' while you're waiting and waiting to see your building, of course it's next to the theme park, the world has been waiting for that for how many years? Unless you've got money to burn you should cancel and learn.

yes, I did send the mail using fedex and asked fedex to collect the receiving person's signatures. Will FedEx be ok or should I send using USPS too?

Yes, it matters as properties near theme parks will be noisy and will not be very accessible to other properties that I have experienced in PV. I don't think the golf carts run from theme park to grand luxx and that's where my family owns their other condos so I wanted to be in the GL or GM area.

Are you mailing from the US to Mexico? If so, you are best to use USPS Registered Mail International. Do they also offer a fax or email option in the contract?

A year or so I went to eat at one of the beach shacks not too far from Vidanta. We turned at the Starbucks and went down a long winding road. The property was guarded but basically the buildings were shells. I wonder if that is the area??

We were just at The Estates in NV over Christmas. I saw a tower under construction... Yeah, it's ocean-facing, but it's behind tower 5/6. The word-smithing skills of the sales folks are un-equaled. The folks trying to get us to attend a presentation were really persistent this time. They claimed to be very sensitive to taking too much of my time... I told the guy I didn't believe him and then pointed out that he'd already kept me on the phone for 10 minutes after I'd said, "no gracias." Pretty sure I missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime deal. heh.

I don't see ANY Vidanta plans for sale in the Marketplace on this site save for one at the almost-lowest level (Mayan Palace)...

You won't find any Vidanta properties for SALE anywhere. They are 'Right-To-Use' and they charge large multiples of annual fees to put the name of a new user on the contract.

Hi @mineralfarmer
TUG member @Passepartout is correct. Vidanta contracts since 2005 have had a significant transfer fee to non family.
My 2006 contract is 5 x current MF. I do have the "pay on use only" addendum which started at the same time.

[ It has been suggested that a few longtime Vidanta members may have negotiated a lower transfer fee when they did an upgrade.
I can not verify this personally.]

There is an owner group called www.aimfair.com that was started by a Grand Luxxe owner about 16 years ago.
Aimfair does have resale listings as well as a lot of interesting articles. I believe there is a small annual fee to be a member.

I’ve been a member for 25 years. One thing that I have learned I’d not to buy into anything that you cannot see the day you purchase. Did they take you out to actually see the units and that they were nearly completed? I know of 2 venues that have been under construction for around 10 years and still are not occupied.

I love the resorts, but would never buy something that I would not be able to move into today! That was a huge factor into buying while in Acapulco in 1999. We were in a dump and they offered us a deal and we could move right over!!! We have bought numerous Vidanta units and now I and totally happy with GL 2-bedroom.
