We will be staying at the Mayan soon and I see that transportation from and to the airport is offered for an additional cost. Has anyone used this service? Is it easy? What was the cost? I have my daughter coming down with three kids and this sounded safe. What do you think? Thank you so much. :)

Mayan billed me 560 pesos last year .... 1 way.

Ironically I took a taxi to the Mayan and 1 back to the airport.

Only took a 1/2 hour to clear that bill off. Mayan made me sign a form that stated THEY never picked me up.

We just rent a car when we stay in Nuevo. Then, we are free to explore and have a car to and from the airport. Rentals are quite inexpensive.

The taxis at the PV airport are very easy and I don't think unreasonable. The airport is small and they will walk past the counter on the way out the door. A taxi to the mayans should cost $20-25 from the airport, no needing to find someone, ready when you need it, etc.

Rental Car for Nuevo Vallarta

We have been to Nuevo Vallarta three separate times. Have rental a car each and every time. So much more freedom. Drive to Punta Mita, Salsuito, San Fransciso, etc.

I just rented a car through Hotwire for our November Mayan visit. Got the car for $138.00 for Nov 16-Nov 22.
