Headed to Maui for the first time in Nov.

We are interested in gardens and would like to visit Kahanu tropical and Hana Maui Botanical gardens in Hana.
And the Garden of Eden and Ke’anae arboretums- all 4 of these on the road to Hana.

Anyone know of a tour that stops at these? I have been searching for group tours and find none, private tours are $$$$.

If not should do a tour anyway (valley isle was recommended) to see the places they offer and then drive ourselves to the gardens on a different day/ days? We will have a car.

Thanks for your thoughts and any experiences you have with the gardens of Maui.

We like to drive the Hana Highway. You can either download a Hana Hwy tour guide to your phone or buy a CD at the ABC store. It is a two lane road with lots of curves. The best time to start the drive is to be in Pahia at sunrise at Ho'okipa Park. Then use the guide to see what you want. The road is not that busy early in the morning so there are usually places to park at the attractions but the downside of starting early is many of the businesses aren't open until after 9am. Most people drive just past Hana and go back the same way they came. We like to drive past Hana and just keep driving until we have made the loop. The nice thing about going this direction is you are driving in the lane that isn't cliff side.

The only garden we visited was the Garden of Eden. It's beautiful.
