Going to Maui soon for the first time! Wondering if the Ka'anapali beach pathway allows continual access from the resorts south of Blackrock to those north of it?

Looking at Google maps, it appears that the path ends at the Sheraton property.

We are going to a luau and would prefer to walk if we can stay on the pathway and not be forced to walk along the busy highway.

Hope my question makes sense.
Thanks

Yes - this is an easy walk for any healthy person, and when you reach the Sheraton, just walk through the Sheraton. I would bring a flash light for the trip back.

We've been travelling to Maui for 20 years, over 12 trips, and this year was the first year we did this for what ever reason. It is very easy as mentioned. We so enjoyed the walk and ended up at Duke's one day for lunch that we enjoyed thoroughly. We also ended up using the beaches on that side of Black Rock. Enjoying the north side of Black Rock will definitely be a part of every Maui vacations going forward.

Also just over Black Rock is another very good restaurant we just discovered and that was Castaway Cafe.

We are at the Maui Marriott. When we cannot get the few Black Rock spaces at the Sheraton, we turn around and walk. It is a good 25-40 minutes depending on the snorkel gear and towels. But, it is doable. The sand can get deep and hot midday. By night, it is a great stroll.

When we have a lot of beach gear, we usually take the trolley to Black Rock. It is free. It picks up near MOC and drops off at the Sheraton.

The earlier tip of taking a flashlight on the path is a good one. This January, we were on the beach by the Eldorado cabana at dusk, when a young woman asked for directions in a panic. She was running on the path and got disoriented, looking for her hotel in the dark. We calmed her nerves and reassured her she was running in the right direction, her hotel was a couple of blocks away. It gets dark quickly by the golf course.

We walk from Hyatt to Duke's often. We prefer to cut in front of the Sheraton to walk as it is a maze walking through the grounds. Gorgeous walk

Agree about the Sheraton...it's a maze of tunnels (best avoided). You can bypass the maze if you stay away from the beach-side path when reaching the Sheraton.
I walk at or before dawn from Kan'anapli Beach Club to just before the Sheraton parking lot. That's about a 30-35 minute stroll each way.. with sightings of up to 24 cats. Hint: If you are male and wear a light blue T-shirt or polo shirt, the cats will run to you...at least at the northern end of this stroll. That's what the guy wears who feeds them at dawn. (There is a club of about 30 people who feed the cats each morning, I'm told. I have met 4 members of the club.) The Maui newspaper yesterday said there are an estimated 40,000 cats on Maui. They are about to conduct a census of them. The ones along the beach walk have been neutered, so those cats are no longer reproducing. Most of these cats are friendly...or hungry.

You can park in the Shwraton garage if snorkeling. With validation you get 3 hrs for $1. The vartendars will validate without purchasing anything if you prefee

there was a shuttle that would take you from Marriott down to the black rock has that been shut down?

There is free beach parking down the side of the Marriot, it's right by their tennis courts. You can exit that way without a room key but need to enter the other beach access which has plenty of signs.

My 11yo son loved diving off of blackrock and was on top and jumping when they lit the torches. Pretty funny to have about 100 cell phones recording his jumps.

There is a tennis court at MOC, between the Lanai tower and parking garage.
