We are planning a special trip for June of 2026 and would really like to get Maui. It seems like a difficult property to get using points. There is one section that does not have a full kitchen. Does anyone know if it has a stovetop and full refrigerator? Also, does the Maui location have grills available? We will have 3 grandsons in late teens who are always hungry. Any other Marriott, Vacation, Hawaii properties that are on ocean and have things nearby or activities that would fit the bill and most have really enjoyed?

I am looking at Maui, and I see Maui ocean club, Molokai, Lahina towers etc and just no clue about it all, I guess once been once it all becomes clear, just looking on Redweek for example you can search under several for Maui. Can some explain to me simply how it works? TIA

We have not found Maui Ocean Club to be difficult to book using points as long as you book right at the 12 or 13 month release date. We have booked Lahaina/Napili towers (full kitchen + washer/dryer) using points in Jan/Feb whale season several times - 2020, 2022, 2023, and 2024. We also already have a booking for 2026. These were all 1BR oceanfront or ocean view bookings, but I recall seeing plenty of 2BR inventory had that been what we were looking for. I have no experience booking June, but can’t imagine it would be tougher than Maui whale season.
The Maui Ocean Club Lanai/Molokai/Maui wing units do not have a full kitchen. They have an apartment size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and small appliances. No cooktop or washer/dryer. There are on site gas grills and a community kitchen. The purpose built units in the Lahaina/Napili towers do have full kitchens and washer/dryers.

We take our electric griddle to MMO. It's a necessity for breakfast. There is a full-sized refrigerator, which holds a lot of food. We were impressed because we moved from a 3 bed at SOK to MMO and were very concerned about the size of the refrigerator not being adequate for our food, but it was fine.
Just returned. The resort is doing remodeling and extensive “concrete restoration” in the older converted towers. There was considerable noise all week which did not bother us but was a constant complaint from others. They are behind schedule and apparently had to change contractors. However by the time you are there it would appear most of noise will be abated.
I’ll add that the resort is walking distance to a bunch of restaurants in Whalers village and the surrounding resorts.
We cooked less during our trip there because it was so easy to go out to eat.
That is good to know!
There is a short section of the shore walk that has been washed out and requires you to walk on the beach or to take a detour to the street that runs parallel to the beach.
