Massanutten - which section for President's Weekend

Hi All,

Thinking of spending President's weekend at Massanutten (Fri to Tuesday) and trying to figure out the appropriate section. Below are our considerations for the trip-

1) We will need 2 units (preferably a 2BR and 1BR) for the same dates. - I read somewhere there's a 1 in x rule via RCI. Can I book 2 units for the same dates? Not sure if this makes a difference but I am a VV village owner at Grandview.

2) I have mobility issues (need a knee replacement but holding off) so no stairs to get to the unit.

3) Need the 2 units close together (ideally adjoining). Or if not adjoining, can easily go in between units without having to go outside since it will be cold in February.

I highly recommend the Regal Vista section
They are all 2/2 with private garage and an adjoining 2/2 same set up
No stairs
Private clubhouse
Very close to main clubhouse
Security gate at the front

On the 4/1 rule that applies to each area
There are multiple areas
Woodstone
Eagle Trace
Regal Vista
The summit
You could stay in each area and rotate

You are likely to be able to get an accessible unit if you need one. Call them once you book. I was staying at "the Summit" a couple of years ago and ended up getting an accessible unit I didn't need because everything else was occupied.

I would recommend going with 2x 2 bedroom units versus a one and a two. For Woodstone, the one bedroom units will be in a different buildings than the two bedroom units.

If you have 2 two bedroom units in the same division, there is likely at least a 90% chance you will get lockoff/adjoining units if requested. For Woodstone or the Summit, you will want to book one with a partial kitchen and another with a full kitchen.

I would go with 1) Regal Vistas (share units in a house -- likely unbookable for this Presidents' Day week; 2) Woodstone (if you have two 2 bedrooms, they will likely be on the same level. [If you get 2 bedrooms that adjoin in Summit one will be on top of the other and you WILL have stairs.]
