Hi - I have put in a pending request to Interval for Marriott's Village d'lle-de-France for the end of June 2025 to early July. I was wondering is it difficult to get a trade to this resort in summer? This is the only time we can go due to my kids work and school schedules. I am hoping to get a trade but have no idea if a trade to this resort is likely to happen or not. Has anyone traded to this resort for a week in summer? When do trades in II usually get confirmed? Is it random or is there a certain time of year when trade activity begins to happen? I wanted to buy my airline tickets early before prices go up closer to the summer but I don't know whether or not to feel comfortable that a trade will come through. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with trading to this resort. Thank you!

In general, if you are a Marriott owner and are requesting Marriott Disneyland during lower demand periods it is a fairly easy trade.
But the end of June and July are the peak demand times for this resort. July and August are also the months when many Europeans are on holiday (6 week school break). Also, if you have a request in using a NON-Marriott home resort, that puts you at a significant disadvantage (Marriotts have a 22 day preference period over out-of-system resort owners).
You may want to consider a getaway or a hotel room. It probably won't be as nice as a Marriott but it will at least be something. If you book a refundable hotel room, you can always cancel if your exchange goes through. Also, if you could expand your search window into May or early June that would help. Right now there is a 2 BR available in March.

24 days? It was 21 plus 3 days for Horizons but I thought they just rolled it to 24 days when Horizons was rolled into MVC directly.
I'm a Marriott owner and trading Marriott to Marriott.
Unfortunately this year my weeks for vacationing are limited due to my daughter's brand new job. She just graduated from college so only has off June 28th to July 13th (her employer closes the company for these two weeks so everyone gets those two weeks off). I am not trading for being close to DIsney but am instead trading for close proximity to explore Europe. But yeah I assume most people stay there to visit Disney. I am not sure if I will be able to get a trade very easily.
I'd make alternate plans. Maybe a hotel(s) for Europe or additional exchange options.

Traded through II later in 2015 for June 16, 2016, when my daughter was 16…was interesting though because I had a standing trade request in but found this myself and called in… got a little bit of grief confirming but ultimately did and the resort and time of year was well worth any difficulty with II owner services….We have traded again for September 2026 and are really looking forward to returning, love this resort and all that the location has to offer!
I don't recall seeing June dates over the last few months as I've been watching for a friend, but I didn't start watching until Oct time so may have missed the 12 month drop. I think I've seen reports that people have had June matches and I have definitely seen summer availability in previous years, and not just very short notice. There has been a load of inventory lurking in II for all months except June and July for a few weeks, which seems to be out of preference now so is going fast. I'd expect another bulk drop once that has gone down a bit.
As other have said, make cancellable alternative reservations and also stalk II for anything that comes back in and misses the auto-match.
