We are planning a trip to Colorado this fall. Marriott's have availability at Streamside in Vail which is where we want to be. What are the advantages of choosing their Evergreen, Douglas or Birch buildings ? Naturally proximity to ski lifts is of no interest to us. Any advice what to visit in Vail area ?
Thanks.

Evergreen is the nicest. It is the only unit built by Marriott.

I've heard some say that Birch is the nicest. The units were not built by Marriott, but they supposedly are larger, and they are the most recently updated. Douglas and Evergreen are badly in need of renovations.

Evergreen!

This info. is not correct. Evergreen is the nicest building by far. The villas were in need of renovations when I stayed there last summer, but the renovations are now complete. I am told that the units look great...which they should...since each owner was assessed $1500 per week to pay for it. The Evergreen villas are all 2 bedrooms and have 1250 sq ft with a typical Marriott floorplan.

The Birch building has been renovated, but it is much older than Evergreen, was not built by Marriott, and has much smaller villas. The largest Birch villas are the 2 bedroom units...and they have only 900 sq ft.

The Douglas building has larger villas than Birch, but it was not built by Marriott and is not as nice as Evergreen. The renovations have been more piece meal in this building as compared to the complete makeovers that have taken place at Birch and Evergreen. I am not sure of the final status of the renovations for Douglas, but I personally wouldn't choose this building.

I agree, we were there last week and had two unit, one in evergreen and one in birch. Everygreen is by far nicer and thus we just camp out in evergreen and go back to Birch to sleep

The new Marriott bedding is there at evergreen. the room is much biger and not claustrophobic as Birch
