Can anyone tell me what the view designations are for MOW, and if an exchange is designated as a Garden View is it possible to get a villa in one of the front three buildings, but on a low floor? My exchange unit is designated as "TOGA" and I assume that is garden view. Thanks for any info.

Check the Marriott confirmation number on your confirmation and go to marriott.com to find out what room type you have. You can request whatever you'd like, but that doesn't mean you will get it.

We were in the newer "back" bldg a few weeks ago - we were on the 9th floor and had a GREAT wide ocean view! Yes the OF bldgs were there in front of us but you're set back and high so you can look up and down the coast in either direction a LONG way.

We also have four little kids and they all really enjoyed the new pool area with slide and play area. It was convenient to be so close and Dad and I both loved that we were able to get out of the sun! We're at Monarch in Hilton Head this week and I absolutely LOVE sitting in the shade of big trees while watching the kids enjoy the pool. Now we know we can enjoy this atmosphere in Myrtle Beach as well.

Have fun!

It's highly unlikely you are going to trade into anything other than an ocean view or garden view. The two front buildings' side units are ocean side. (Conch and Scallop)
The front Middle building is considered ocean front, as are the front units on the Conch and Scallop buildings.

The back (new) building called Maple is Gardenview through floor 10, and 11-16 are Oceanview. We just stayed on the 9th floor during July 4th week and were quite pleased with the view. We could see the ocean in all directions and view the fireworks from N. Myrtle without obstruction. Beautiful. We had been staying oceanside for the past 4 years but now are gardenview and were pleasantly surprised that we liked it just as well. Of course I liked being near the woodsy pool a lot of the time. The seaside theatre is awesome too.

Not being familiar with how MOW units are designated I'm wondering if the Garden view units are designated "TOGA." My reservation number in the Marriott system gives me no indication.

I don't know what TOGA stands for but there is a 95% probability that you will be in a lower level garden view if you trade in. If you are an owner of an OF or OS unit and trade in you have a decent chance of getting into an OS unit. I traded in this year with another Marriott week and own OF and got a 1st floor OS room

We are GV owners and just returned form our stay. I asked at the front desk if ANY units in the front two buildings were designated as GV (some OS on the ground floor certainly do not have any view at all) and was told NO - all units in the first three buildings are OF or OV and, as such, we could not get any of those units. However, we were placed on the 10th floor of the new Maple building and had great ovean views. BTW, the walk from the outside door of the Maple building to the latch on the gate by the pool bar took 6 minutes at a relaxed gait.

I know I'm a little late on this. You can call Marriott directly and ask them then put in a request at the same time.
