I just downloaded Marriott's new Android App.

Pretty handy..

The best thing I like is you can quickly get your reservation that allows a single click for a map, call the hotel, or just view the details.

The thing I wish they would change is to integrate it with Google Maps instead of using Bing, can't take advantage of all the great features google maps have that bing doesn't

I recommend the app to everyone.. Way to go Marriott on getting the app out there.

Here's the blurb from Marriott..

With the free Marriott Mobile app, you can:

•Make hotel reservations at 3,600+ hotels and resorts in 70 countries, 24/7 from anywhere
•Access your Marriott Rewards account or enroll in the Rewards program
•Find hotels near your current position with GPS functionality
•Browse hotel photos, maps and amenities
•View upcoming reservations
•Browse city guides with helpful tips about your destinations
•Call a hotel or get help immediately with Marriott reservations via phone (if supported by your device)
•Cancel upcoming reservations

Yea, I just downloaded the iphone version this week, its pretty cool. Much better than the II app which is basically just a resort directory.
Now, if only Marriott could get their act together on the vacation club website. I guess it would be too much to ask for a DC app anytime soon.

Downloaded iPhone version last night as well. This app is well done! However, I still use TripTracker to aggregate air, hotel and rental car reservations.

I went over to FlyerTalk and they are not very "upbeat" about the new smartphone app. The common opinion is that the smartphone app does nothing more than the mobile website already provides.

I have to say, the mobile website is good.

I find FlyerTalk rarely upbeat on anything. But I do agree that the mobile site is very good. Still I like the convenience of the app over the mobile site
