Was thinking about going to Kauai and maui for 10 year anniversary. Was gonna book a room at Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club thru interval. How is that resort. It is a 1bedroom.

What view category? OF is excellent; we used to own OF there and enjoyed it a lot (until MF's went out of control). GV has some poor units (I was stuck in one once on a rental).

There is a four or five letter code on the Interval exchange confirmation that will show you.

Type Kauai beach club into the search bar.
There are many posts and opinions on this resort.
I stayed over 10 years ago when the hotel was still a Marriott. We had an oceanview 1 bedroom with a Murphy bed in the living room. We loved it, great pool, nice beach, restaurants in walking distance.
You can find view codes on this site.
If you go to Marriott site you can see floor plans of the various rooms.

So for a 1br it could be a murphy bed in the living room. That seems strange. I could see for a studio but not a 1br unit.

Ok thats fine we only need the bedroom bed. Is it a nice resort. Some say its outdated. Has it been remodled lately

We stayed there one day after a week at Waiohai to relax before a red eye flight. I'd never stay there for a full vacation. The beach is OK, but not particularly nice sand (lots of sticks, leaves and stuff.) It is more like a public beach than a resort beach. It is a long walk up and down stairs to get anywhere, through a very old hotel type complex. It reminds me more of a Waikiki-style resort than the nicer outer island locations. Likely for these reasons it is by far the easiest Hawaii MVC resort to trade into.

As Cory30 said that is just instead of a sleeper sofa. You have a bedroom.
This resort is a hotel conversion, it’s not a purpose built time share.
Laundry is in the hall. No kitchen.
Ours had 2 bathrooms and 2 balconeys.
Still granite countertops.
I would expect the rooms are refreshed on a regular cycle, some will be newer than others.
I would look at trip advisor for some current reviews.

Whether you like this resort or not will depend on your preferences.
For us, we love Kaua’i.
We are not going to sit around in our unit.
We were at tropical gardens or beaches or hiking waterfalls etc all day.
The on site beach was great for a morning or evening dip.
The pool was lovely and large.
We enjoyed the on-site restaurants if we were tired and didn’t want to venture out again. Great for a drink.
We have no problem walking- we do it on purpose.

If you want the ritz, a luxury resort this may not be your first choice.
Just depends on what you are looking for and what is available to book,

Enjoy Kauai! We are making our first trip to Maui this fall.
