Does anyone know if "Parlor Ocean Front" rooms are in a certain building?

Many are in the Kilohana and Waialeale buildings. I don't know whether all of them are.

OF at KBC is fantastic and you have your choice of two buildings -

Wai'ale'ale is three stories high and closer to Nawiliwili Bay and Kilohana is nine stories immediately above and behind. In the Wai'ale'ale building, both studios and parlor units have lanais, in Kilohana the parlor rooms have lanais and the studios do not. The parlor is basically a living room with a queen wall bed, shower, and real kitchenette with refrigerator/freezer, sink, microwave, dishwasher, silverware, dishes and glasses. The studio is basically a hotel room with a real bed, tub/shower, bar sink/coffee maker/tea service and mini-fridge.

If you had a one bedroom consisting of both these rooms what would be your preferred location/floor.

I've been told that the most desirable floors are those in Wai'ale'ale because of the studio balcony (particularly the ground floor which is 'walk-out') and the top floors of Kilohana. Thus far as Chairman's Club staying on points, we've always asked for a high floor and been been given a middle one (which makes sense since KBC's OF villas are often owner occupied).

We recently bought an EOYE OF 1BR and are contemplating asking for a ground floor villa in 2026. We'll see how it goes.

I have stayed in OF units at KBC a half dozen times (we used to own there). My location request was always "a high floor in the Kilohana building away from the elevators".

They always gave me a room with that description; the views were always excellent.

We have an II match here in January with 1BR OF code. Anyone have any idea how did Marriott does on generally honoring the II unit assignments?

By reputation, pretty good, but there are no guarantees.

It’s up to the individual resorts not a brand wide policy.
My 1 time experience at KBC is they honored the code, but gave the lesser units in that code (ie-lower floor, lesser view).

I do find this to be true at many MVC.

I also find that the codes are not always intuitive- I once had a unit at a HHI MVC in a building at the back of the property on the 2nd floor and I though this was not the oceanview category my confirmation indicated but later saw on a code designation map that was indeed the view assigned that unit.

Just returned from there. We were in Kahili 7th floor, and although it's not on the beach and oceanfront, we faced the ocean and had a fabulous view! We could hear the gentle waves at night, so kept the balcony door open a little. I would call them directly because the Royal Sonesta rooms were mixed with MVC in my building, and I'm not sure if they are in the two others mentioned above, but you do not want a garden or rooftop view.
