Marriott Shadow Ridge: Gold Season: 2 bedroom: 2 bathrom: annual: lock off:
weeks reservation systems

they are selling for $1 now, just closing costs.

Can anyone pls advise me
would a marriott shadow Ridge: Gold Season: 1 bedroom: Lock off: weeks
still
trade for a Marriott Waiohai Beach club: 2 bedroom
in the very very lowest demand period
like
entire month of September and first 15 days of December

or
do they have no value in the interval: marriott Trading priority because
of
Marriott points system change, recession,etc

I think you would still be very successful trading in to other resorts, even Hawaii, during the low season. We have been successful with our Harbour Lake and Grande Vista gold weeks trading in to Hawaii in October. I don't really see this changing in the future. Getting peak seasons isn't easy with even some of the best traders (think trying to trade in to Ocean Watch and HHI in peak summer). As long as you keep your expectations low, are flexible, and can travel during shoulder/off season a gold season anywhere should do well for you. Not sure about trading up in unit size to Hawaii as we haven't tried that yet.

I agree with Dioxide -- I think if you buy a Gold Season at Shadow Ridge and reserve one of the Fall weeks (which have TDI>100) that you will have a powerful enough trader to trade into the shoulder seasons at most Marriotts (not sure about MOC, because I've not even been able to trade back into my own resort -- but that's a summer trade request).

I saw one on eBay that is $1 and is a bi-ennial, and honestly, I think that would be a good Marriott trader. We did a little experiment recently (see the Sightings Forum) and the Gold weeks that were deposited and had good TDI's traded very well. I'm not in the market for a Marriott for trading purposes, but think that would be a good start.

The obvious disclaimer is that with DClub, the availability of the inventory in II is less predictable than in the past. We're seeing more things pop up close to check-in, which complicates longer term planning (and need for airfare, if flying).

Good luck and less us know what you do.

Best,

Greg
