I had some downtime on a chilly rainy day during our stay at Ocean Watch last week and put this together since questions get asked about which building and which view all the time.
The only thing I can't figure out-
By my count there are 364 villas (not counting the one model villa unit); but the chart I have from MVC says 361. Anyone have any idea about the 3 villa discrepancy?
374 would make perfect sense. The 2nd floor sales gallery could be 9 villas like the other floors in Conch plus the model villa on 5 and that gets you to 374.
Not all “ocean front” views at MOW are created equal. The lower floors in Starfish are mostly pool view, and the corner units in Starfish in the lower to mid floors are mostly view of the building in front of you, with a little ocean around the edges. The outer ocean side in Conch and Scallop might actually be better. We learned our lesson on our last trip: show up early and ask for OF in Conch or Scallop.

Stayed in an oceanfront in Conch last week and it was definitely fabulous! 7th floor and the huge center balcony. Best villa assignment I've ever had to be sure!!
Looking in to possibly add this resort to my bag of them. Which building has the best access to the pools? How far is the walk to the back set of buildings? How old is the resort?
We own at Wyndham Ocean Boulevard but want better parking

There is a pool near the beach that the front 3 buildings (Ocean front & Ocean side views) are closer to and one in the back woodsy area that the back 2 buildings (Ocean view and garden view) are near. Indoor pool and fitness are in the magnolia building in the back woody section. Easy access to all- short walk even from the back buildings to the beach. Have a look at the map in the first post on this thread to see the layout. I believe the first buildings near the beach were build in the early 2000s, the woodsy area was added later.
