Is it associated with any golf facility? Either the time share units and or the hotel?

I'm not sure what the real question is (whether it is related to costs, preferential tee times or proximity) but the concierge has info on many courses and can make tee times for you. Grande Dunes is nearby with 36 holes, a "resort" and a "members" course. The Dunes Club is also right there. All three courses are very nice.

Based on the list above I would say Myrtlewood is the best value and shortest distance after grande dunes. Just played myrtlewood last week for $38 after 1:30 just got in the full round. Grande dunes is much more expensive but I haven't played there.
