We just traded one of our Marriotts for Monarch at Sea Pines for July 4 week. We will be having our 3 grandsons with us 5,4, and 3 with us. We knew it probably impossible to get Grande Ocean, but have read some very good reviews on Monarch also.
With 3 children so young, does anyone have any good recommendations for room location. Of course they love the pools and walking the ocean, but one important thing for us also is the grill locations because it's difficult to eat out with 3 young ones.

Actually, at Monarch you may not have a choice. A lot of the units there were sold as fixed times, and fixed locations. If that's what you traded into then you're stuck at that Villa location.

Other than that, I believe there's ocean view, garden view, and ocean front.

Monarch is a nice location, located in Sea Pines. The kids will love the beautiful, wide, sandy beach.

.

I just called up Interval to check if a location was assigned, and all she could find was a code of MONG and didn't know what it meant. I assume the G represents Garden. Based on that, does anyone know if there's a resort map out there or recommendations on that view.
thanks

I don't own at Monarch, but rented a week for my sister this past year.

You might want to check out the Monarch owner's website which she found helpful:

I'm sure some Monarch owners on TUG will give you lots of info.

I know the week my sister rented was a fixed week and fixed unit. The owner bought it over 20 years ago and went almost every year.

We own there and will be there the week before Christmas. The owners site is good to show you the building locations, etc. The units are smaller than Surfwatch and/or Grande Ocean - the second bedroom has twin beds, but OK size. The resort is small so any unit is close to the pool and the ocean. We love the beach there better than the other two Marriotts that we have been to on HHI.
