I am purchasing my first Marriott timeshare (if ROFR passes). I have much experience trading in II, but I don't know how II works with Marriott. I know I can't Marriott weeks in my corporate Vistana or corporate Diamond Resorts accounts, but can I add my new Marriott week to my non-corporate interval account, or will I have to have a separate Marriott interval international week for a Marriott resale week?
Thanks for any help!

You can add your Marriott week to your non corporate Interval account. I have my VRI managed resort in the same Interval account with my Marriott.

Good luck on ROFR.

You should be able to add it to your non corporate account.

IIRC Marriott took care of adding our resale purchase to our non-corporate II account, so you won't need to do that. However, I'm sure that you'll want to check with Marriott just to be sure once you pass the ROFR. Good luck!
I don't think that's the case currently. I just added 2 new purchases and 4 weeks previously purchased that I didn't plan to exchange (all Marriott's). I tried to do it through II directly but Marriott failed to confirm the ownership. I'm not certain why they did but the clues strongly suggested they thought I was trying to add it to my corporate account. I'm not sure if it was II or MVC that got their wires crossed. I contacted MVC to see if they could do it but they said they couldn't but suggested I either try again with II or call MVC customer service and they could do a 3 way call. That's the option I took which I just did 2 days ago. I can't deposit until they've been formally verified which should happen today. There's a per week charge, I'm thinking it was $39 which they'll waive if you do a membership extension. I extended for 5 years which is the best per year value and it was $311 rather than the $356 quoted on the site. If one could find a 2 for 1 that would work, even better. I know I've used this same tactic with a 2 for 1 in the past.

When I called the MVC rep put me on hold while they contacted II and stayed on the line the whole time. This was good because there's some info they needed that I wouldn't have had. The pull codes they needed were somewhat different than we discuss for exchanges. And they needed the specific week on the deed even though they are floating seasons. I'm sure this all happens behind the scenes if I'd added with II directly and it'd been done correctly.

Make sure that you title your Marriott resale exactly the same way that your name is set up in your non-corporate interval account.

You should be able to link your new week with your existing Interval account as long as it is not being used for Marriott or Diamond “points” accounts. If two bedroom with lock off you can split and deposit as two weeks with Interval. There will be a trade fee and an upgrade fee if you trade for a larger unit. Marriott will also charge a lock off fee. You can always use the week at the home resort without using Interval at all.
