Is anyone else having problems signing on to the Bonvoy website? Here is the comedy of errors I experienced today.

1. Attempted sign-on #1 - After entering my ID and password, I got a message that I needed to change my password. OK, I did that.
2. Attempted sign-on #2 - I was unable to sign on using the new password and also unable to sign on with my old password
3. I then navigated to the page that allows you to request that Marriott send you your password. FAIL.
4. I called the Bonvoy 800 number. The rep said that my account showed that I had never previously used the Bonvoy website. But I've had a Marriott hotel web account even before we purchased our first Marriott timeshare in 2014. The rep suggested I create a new online account. FAIL.
5. The phone rep then had web support send me a link via email to reset the password for my existing account. FAIL.
6. At this point the phone rep admitted that she had already had 3 similar calls this morning for Bonvoy website issues. She said they were working on a fix and to try again in an hour. FAIL.

I next tried to sign on to my wife's Bonvoy account. I got a message that I needed to change her password. OK, Marriott. I'm not that stupid. I stopped there.

I doubt that I am the only one who seems to be constantly putting out fires due to corporate incompetence/errors.

Yesterday I called (and hopefully resolved) a several hundred dollar overcharge on a recent Budget car rental. The Budget representative apparently put down that our rental car's odometer showed 5300 miles when we picked it up, but actually is was 53,000 miles. Oops! So I had to phone Budget and explain that we did not drive that car all the way around the Earth a few times. It's hard these days to get competent employees. Then early today I finally resolved a several week old issue with American Airlines that resulted from a flight delay that caused us to miss our connection (it seems that you can't let the plane take off on time if there's no pilot). I was on a roll!! But now Marriott has burst my bubble. Back to the drawing board.

Wow. Please post your future travel plans so we can all do the opposite. You are jinxed. ;-)

Seriously, I hope your luck changes!

Marriott’s Hotels profit for 2021 was only over 623 million dollars, as reported by The Point Guy today.

I guess the Marriott’s Hotel website problems are not a top priority right now.

OK, that's very funny. But it does seem that quite a few things have just disintegrated after Covid. Customer service is a thing of the past.

I'll let you enjoy more of our adventures. Let's talk about Budget car rental. We reserved a full size car in Tennessee. There were no full sizes in stock, so we were upgraded to a mid-size SUV. Whoopee! I thought it was our lucky day! But after a day or two, I noticed a large bubble or bulge in the sidewall of one of the tires. I'm not a car guy, but I think this means that the sidewall is weak and threatening to blow out. I checked the other tires and found another that was already down to the indicator (that is, bald). So we drove back to Budget to trade cars. After I finished cleaning the trash out of the new rental (I found 5 water bottles and coffee cups under the passenger seat), we drove off. At least this car had good tires. But the rep who filled out the paperwork for the second vehicle recorded the mileage mistakenly.

My conclusion: I don't think Budget really checks their cars with any care once they are returned. They just rent them out again ASAP. I have long been in the habit of checking for dings in the car body so that we don't get charged for damage that we didn't cause. But in the future, I'm going to have to carefully check the tires as well. And now it seems that I need to verify the mileage listed on the rental contract.

Anyway, my wife is a California girl. She always gets a big kick out of trees that change color in the fall. So Tennessee, especially Gatlinburg in late October, was a big hit with her. I think she came home with enough photos of trees to fill our hard drive.

Also had the same Marriott website issue last evening. Working in Firefox, had several failed attempts at changing password as required and gave up. Husband used his computer using Chrome and change of password was accepted. I agree with GetawaysRus "It's hard these days to get competent employees."

Bonvoy website worked for me this AM. My browser is Brave. Forced to change my password.

I was anxious to get in. The app continued to work, and I had noticed a major employee-caused screw up in my wife's account. She was 345,000 Bonvoy points short. Still working on getting it corrected.

Google Chrome didn't work for me to book a reservation on my owner website. It's been a few weeks of messages saying they are having issues.

I haven't tried in the last day or two but I've have no issues getting into the Marriott Bonvoy site.
