Marriott Grand Chateau Pool Options

We are heading to Las Vegas in a couple of weeks to stay at the Grand Chateau. We know that the pool on the roof is very small but we were wondering if there are any other pool usage options with adjacent properties? In other words, does Marriott have any sort of agreement with any other hotel or timeshare to use their pools for families staying at the Marriott?

Also, can you pay some type of an admission fee to use another hotel's pool and if so, what properties do this?

Thanks

I've stayed at the Grand Chateau 6 times (II exchanges). You're correct the pool there is very small. There are no other options for pools that I'm aware of for Grand Chateau guests.

The only other Marriott property in walking distance is the Cosmopolitan and I'm sure they won't let you use the pools there. The Cosmopolitan isn't owned or operated by Marriott, they only have a licensing connection for reservations.

I'd be very surprised if any of the other strip properties will let Grand Chateau guests use their pools.

Pool Options - MGC

We are currently at the Grand Chateau in Las Vegas and here are the current pool options, according to the handout given at check-in:

1) Use woefully small pool on the roof of the MGC for free.
2) Use the two pools at the Polo Towers next door by showing the MGC room key-card for free.
3) Use the pool at the Monte Carlo Hotel at limited hours for a $10 per person admission fee
4) Use the pool at Cesars Palace at limited hours for free (men pay $20 for Friday to Sunday use, women are always free)
5) Use the pool at the Flamingo Hotel at limited hours with an admission price of $20 for men and free for women.
6) Pool Day Clubs are also available at the Cosmopolitan, Encore, Venetian, MGM Grand, and Hard Rock Hotels with club fees ranging from free on the weekdays to $150 on weekends depending on location.

At least there are now options if you seek pool time even though the times available (usually 9am to 5pm) are limited and the pricing schedules are a bit sexist (hey, it's Vegas  ). I am pleased the Marriott is trying to address the problem of not currently having a descent pool on property.

BTW, construction has started on the third tower.

Interesting that they are giving a handout with this info. At least they acknowledge their pool is very inadequate!! Did you ask about pools or do they just offer this handout to everyone?

Have you checked out any of the other pools? I'd be interested what you think of them. I wonder if the Polo Towers pool is much better than the Grand Chateau?

Glad to hear that construction has started on tower #3!

Thanks for the report.

I asked about the pool situation when I checked-in, so I don't know if this information is given to everyone without asking. It was on a printed hand out sheet.

We went next door to the Polo Towers and the pool on the roof was also very small and was very crowded at 3:00pm. The kids pool area on the other hand, is on the ground floor at the back of the property and has a splash zone play area was well as a small circular "wading" pool. There was also lots of shaded area and no one was there. I was impressed with the kids pool except for the fact that it is right next to the big smelly dumpsters. We had to "trade" our MGC room card for a Polo Towers pool card at the front desk. We plan on using the kids pool area once our grand daughter arrives tomorrow!

We haven't checked out the other hotel pools yet and probably won't due to the admission fees and the logistics of getting to them.
