I rarely travel on my birthday and, the few times we have, I don’t announce it to the staff. However the Customer House staff knew and sent up this nice card, bottle of wine and a charcuterie board.

With Vistana, they give you an option when making a reservation to indicate a special occasion. When we went to Hawaii I indicated Anniversary. When we checked in to the Westin Princeville they handed me a card to pick from two items. I think one was a $25 food credit and the other was some amount of Bonvoy points. I don't remember how many.

Wow. There have been a couple of times, most recently 2025 at Surf Watch, where I have stayed at a MVC on my birthday but never got anything. (United WILL acknowledge my birthday and will provide a complimentary in-flight drink.)
