The National Museum of the Marine Corps upheld the Marine Corps’ time-honored cake-cutting tradition on Sunday in Triangle, Va., to celebrate 249 years of the branch’s service and legacy on the battlefield.

The Marine who was part of the cake cutting tradition at the Marine Ball held in San Diego, CA is married to a woman who belongs to the same organization I do. They both came to a meeting we had to do a book discussion and they talked about their experiences in Vietnam. He also had pictures of them at the ball. He was the oldest Marine in attendance.
