Marco-Eagles Nest is reopening 10/14 (per HGVC EN manager reposted on owners FB), . Many units had water intrusion, but they must have gotten it remediated quickly.

From HOA Updates on HGVC portal -

Property Status Update: We are happy to announce that Club Regency of Marco Island will be resuming operations on October 15! Utilities have been restored and all suites are available. In addition, many local businesses, restaurants and grocery stores are open, and many of the resort’s amenities are ready for use — and you are welcome to enjoy the beach. Please note that internet service may be unreliable.

Most of the other properties say the following:

  • Property Closure Update: Due to the damage caused by Hurricane Ian in the area, this property is closed until further notice. At this time, we are unable to fully assess the damage from the storm on-site until we are allowed to visit the property. Please visit this page often for news and updates about the property's status. Thank you for understanding

It is interesting that the "Travel Alert" banner on the Florida Grand Vacation site lists the Surf Club of Marco as the only Marco Island resort that is "closed until further notice" -- the rest of the Marco Island resorts are opening this weekend. Has anyone heard anything about what damage the Surf Club sustained, or any updates? I own both Charter Club and Surf Club, and while I have received several email updates from Charter Club, I have heard absolutely nothing from the Surf Club.

Kurt

And Charter Club is opening on October 15th (they have a Saturday check-in). Anyone heard about the other Marco Island properties?

Kurt

I have an exchange in 2023, week 14 at SUNRISE BAY RESORT & CLUB. Has anyone heard any updates from this TS?

Official notice from HGVC:
Dear Owners, Members and Guests,
We are happy to announce that Eagle’s Nest Beach Resort will be resuming operations on October 14!
Our Team Members will be doing the final clean-up of the resort just in time to start welcoming arrivals this week. Utilities have now been restored and all suites are available. In addition, many local businesses, restaurants and grocery stores are open, and many of the resort’s amenities are ready for use.
Please note that our internet service is still being worked on and may be unreliable and the pool may be unavailable (but you are welcome to enjoy the beach!).

We had a storm surge of at least 6.5 feet on Marco. Our garage floor is 6.4 and we got a small amount of water in the garage. Our house is 8.1, so no water in the house. We live inland about the middle of the island. Wind wasn't the big problem this time like it was with Irma. Rising water was the biggest problem. We didn't get loads of rain, about 4 to 5 inches. Nothing like they got north of us in Sarasota and Charlotte counties. Surge came at high tide, so that made the problem worse. But it went down as fast as it rose. Not a lot of roof damage like with Irma, but some of the older houses not built up got it bad.
