Map of Newport Coast buildings?

I am pretty sure there is a map of the building layout at Newport Coast somewhere on TUG. I searched the BBS and the resort reviews/databases last night without success.

Does anyone know where it is? And how do you find things like this? I know there are maps of other resorts, pictures, etc., but I don't find the pointers to them.

Thanks.

I knew you'd know where to look, Pat. Strangely, the Resort Map isn't the one I thought I remembered. But what I needed was one showing which building was which, and this is good for that.

Thanks.

Local map

Newport Coast map

The resort map is given to people who buy or stay at the resort. The rest I found on the net.

Are the 4000 series & 5000 series buildings open? I noticed the layout for that area was different in the "Resort Map" and "Local Map" so I wasn't sure. We are going in a couple weeks & I wanted to submit our villa request. We'd like to stay within walking distance of a pool. Is there just one pool?

No, that phase is not even started yet. Buildings 3800 & 3900 are being built now and are scheduled to be open in June.

Exchangers into NCV are usually placed in buildings 1000-1900 on the lower floors (unless it isn't very busy). These units have a golf course view as opposed to an ocean view.

There is a pool in the middle of buildings 1000-1200, however, from the main pool (right below building 3600) you have a great view of the ocean.

Have a great time. It's a wonderful resort!

It's not far. We walk through the resort onto the road behind the 1000 buildings, down the hill, cross Pacific Coast Highway (there is a light there) & into Crystal Cove State Beach. I would say about 1/2 mile tops.

You can walk the beach for miles as Crystal Cove has 3 1/2 miles of beach front.

Thanks for clarifying. One more question.......are the pools heated?

The resort does have a shuttle. They usually go to Laguna beach - Main Beach. This is about ten minutes away from the resort, but it's a good location because of all the nearby shopping and dining.

There is parking at the state park, near the entrance and within the park. There is a relatively steep road down to the beach, but it is for park vehicles only. It'd be tough in a wheelchair/scooter. I recall seeing a number of stairs as well. Perhaps there is more flat access elsewhere on the beach, but we usually go down near the entrance kiosk.

The pools are heated to 82 degrees, or have been when we've been there (October, December, February, March).

Agree with the poster about Laguna Beach. One can spend a whole day there. There isn't much right near the resort other than the strip mall where Trader Joe's is located (groceries) just south of the resort on PCH.
