If you own a Sequel Week can you reserve your home week in the original section and vice versa? Was the Rewards Points value assigned by Marriott for developer purchases for platinum the same or different for the original vs. sequel? Are there strong preferences for the original vs. sequel other than sequel's lock off?

If you own Sequel, you reserve Sequel and vice versa

Don't know about Reward Points values.

Most prefer the original section. Try a stay there and decide for yourself

Most prefer to stay in the original section but if you are buying primarily as an exchanger most prefer the Sequel because you can break it up into a one bedroom and a studio and exchange both or keep it together. I believe the reward points are the same.

Here's a video on the original side of Manor Club that may be of interest.

I've owned and enjoyed MSE since ~1999. As suggested by Tschwa2 if I need a two bedroom I prefer to trade into original side because I like the units better. However, The Sequal side is great not only because of the lock off but it's closer to the biger pool, splash pad tennis courts and playground for those trips with younger kids. I also really like the golf at Fords Colony.

The video in this thread is actually how the resort look; Unlike some resorts in Williamsburg. Great resort both sides and the golf course is one of the best in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful in my opinion.

To be clear, if you own Sequel, you can only reserve in Sequel. If you own the original section, you can only reserve in the original section. You can't make reservations between the two. You can only stay in the other section via an II exchange.
