Today was the day that I made my first reservation. I bought my Wyndhan Timeshare on Ebay and after closing am now a proud owner. I spent alot of time on these boards learning, reading and LEARNING. Thanks to all of you who selflessly share your wisdom and experience to make it possible for people like me to make an informed decision. Aside from my upcoming trip to The Great Smokies Lodge, I was even able to purchase an RCI last call during the recent sale (amazing price). I just wanted to tell anyone that has been thinking about purchasing a Wyndham Timeshare that they will be happy with their choice. Just remember what everyone says...RESALE only. I made many, many phonecalls to Wyndham just after my purchase and asked many questions that may have seemed simplistic but every single time I was met with a representative that was professional, friendly and actually seemed to want to help me, every single time. It is not my intention to make a commercial for Wyndham but from my interactions, they deserve praise. I hope that everyone has the same luck with them that I have and am hopeful that I can continue to state this years from now as well.

I have had the same experience over the last year, and its extends beyond the folks on the phone, to the resorts too...everyone there from maintenance, front desk, and housekeeping even the guys that empty the trash have been a pleasure to deal with

The only exception has been sales

I'd agree. I love everything about the resorts except the parking pass hassle to avoid the sales updates.

At our local Sam's club, they now have directv salesman that sit in the main aisle and ask "what tv provider do you currently use?" I have found the easiest way to get out of that conversation is to say I already have directv and that is pretty much it. I wonder if that will work with the sales people..."I already own it thanks!"

No- it won't work because they want you to own more of it.

I agree - We have had good and great experiences with the Wyndham Resort Staffs, the reservation people on the phone, and the people in the Wyndham Corporate Departments (title/transfer & finance).

We had to brush-off the sales people several times, at a recent stay ay Bonnet Creek, but they didn't detract from our stay. We mostly stay at Bentley Brook and the Newport Resorts, where there are no sales people (the sales departments were closed a couple of years ago).

I agree.....I OWN.....leave me alone because you make me want to SELL..... My wife and I have had wonderful vacations and it is mostly hassle free. I loved Sedona, but had an issue with the A/C and it was 114 degrees. It was our first trip with the TC and we took my in laws. It was their lock-off portion that had an issue and it wasn't handled well..Loved the resort!!
