I'm thinking about buying a specific unit - 20-207 - with a specific week. Does anyone know where this might be located in the resort? And if it has a balcony? I've gotten conflicting responses from the resrt. And any special assessments looming? Any info much appreciated!

Here is a map of Los Tules I have on my website.

We are also owners but both of our units are in building 6. I must admit I personally would not want a unit in building 20 or maybe even in that corner. I have found visiting other people that have rented a unit over there it was not as quiet, as building 20 is facing the resort next door. Next door is the Fiesta Americana and they seem to have more pool party and activities that generate noise.

If the unit number you are looking at buying is 20-207, that is the second floor and should have a balcony but that building is a little different since it faces the other resort. Not sure how quick you are looking to buy but we will be down there in 2 weeks and I could do some checking on the unit when I am there and try and get some photos. Private message me if you want to take this off-line.

I highly recommend Los Tules for a place to own/rent as the grounds and layout of the resort is wonderful. I feel like I am in Mexico with the adobe style and the units are large. Personally, I don't like the sky-scraper style that a lot of the resorts do. Los Tules has 7 pools, tennis courts, restaurant and a great location as it is only a few minutes from town by taxi or bus. There is a big store accross the street that you can get your groceries or anything else at.

Let me know if you have any more question that I can help you on.

We also own in Building 6 but once stayed in a studio in Building 20. The deck did face the Fiesta Americana Hotel with an ocean view. There were activities going on at FA but everything was quiet by 10PM. I agree with Marsha that Los Tules is a wonderful resort and definitely suits us for a quiet, relaxing vacation. I, too, will be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Carole-

Where in building 6 & what time of the year do you go? Any chance I could run into you? We are in 6-112 & 6-116 Starting April 29th.

We always go in November. We usually go every other year for 2 weeks and go to Cabo for 2 weeks on the off year. I am so jealous that you will be there so soon! Did you know that Adaulto left and has a restaurant in Bucerias? We went this past Novemberand he seemed to be doing very well. Enjoy!

Re: Los Tules - Small Dogs Allowed?

Can someone please tell me if small dogs (Yorkies, in this case) are allowed at Los Tules? I believe the "official" answer is "no" but I stayed at Los Tules about a year ago and talked with someone who was staying there with her small dog--and not secretively, instead she was openly walking him around the premises and told me it was okay to bring your dog (I didn't have a dog at that time so didn't inquire more about the subject).

The resort has several cats roaming around so I know animals are accepted at the resort.

Most of the condos at Los Tules are privately owned so those owners can have pets. Many units are rented privately or thru Craig Abrahamson so they too may allow pets. As far as bringing pets to a timeshare unit, I don't know that answer.

Thanks for all the advice. The ebay auction closed without a bidder - as I continue to do my due diligence I'll wait to see if they put it back up for auction.
