I fairly new to timeshare and looking to buy a timeshare. Can someone with good experience in timeshare here me out here.
I am trying to buy a timeshare (resale) which has good value with the maintenance fees I will be paying. so please suggest what I should be looking for.
My main idea is to use those yearly points in different resorts across different properties/resorts maybe through RCI

please let me know if this even makes sense.

Welcome to TUG! Your questions make sense but you should post it in the “new to timeshares start here” forum instead of where you posted.

Welcome @New2TimeShareVacation
What part of the country are you in?

There are some points-based systems that offer flexibility. When you use points, you may select any size unit, any length of stay for any dates, limited by the total points you own, or can borrow, and the rules of the system.

First off, check-out where they have resorts to which you might enjoy travelling.

Club Wyndham

Hilton Grand Vacations Club

Hyatt

WorldMark (resorts are mostly in the Western US, many are "shared" with Wyndham)

Your broad questions indicate you are at ground zero. Spend a month reading the hundreds of explanatory threads as step 1, and answer the introductory questions. Most people say step 2 is to identify a potential timeshare and rent it before buying. There is no one size fits all answer.
