Hello,
I know many have had bad luck with Sapphire, but that seems to be the case with all timeshares. I am looking for a current owner to shed light on how many off-season 1 bedroom weeks 25k points roughly equates too. Sapphire of course espouses 4-6 weeks. Im curious about the truth. Also any other insights a current owner can share.

I know nothing about Sapphire, but all other points-based systems have a published points chart for each resort / season / unit size.

See post #12 in this thread:

@tschwa2 may be able to guide you as to where to find the info.

What are you going to do once you find an estimate for the answer to your question?
Are you the Owner or are you trying to help an Owner?

Post #6 in this thread give a bit of history on Sapphire:

Here is an "RCI Points" chart:

Log in to Sapphire and use the contact us to ask for the chart:

I read that you should compare the RCI Points required to your Sapphire Points chart, as they may be different.

RCI Points and Sapphire points are both used within the RCI system, but they refer to different aspects of the program. RCI Points are a flexible way to exchange your timeshare ownership week for vacations at affiliated resorts or other RCI Points Partner products. Sapphire points are earned through specific Sapphire Resorts memberships and can be used for booking vacations at Sapphire resorts.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

RCI Points:
  • Flexibility:
RCI Points membership offers timeshare owners the flexibility to exchange their ownership week for an allocation of points.

  • Exchange:
These points can be used to book exchange vacations at RCI-affiliated resorts or for RCI Points Partner products like car rentals, hotel stays, and attraction tickets.

  • Points Values:
The value of your RCI Points depends on factors like the resort's ratings, the number of beds, booking demand, and the dates you own.

  • Exchange Fee:
A transaction fee may be charged when making a confirmed exchange or saving RCI Points.

  • Exchanges to other resorts:
RCI Points members can use their points to book vacations beyond the Sapphire portfolio.

Sapphire Points:
Sapphire Membership:
Sapphire points are earned as part of a Sapphire Resorts membership.

Sapphire Resort Focus:
These points are primarily used for booking vacations at Sapphire resorts within the RCI network.

Flexibility within Sapphire:
Sapphire members can also use their points for other RCI Points Partner products, but the focus remains on Sapphire resorts.

Potential Issues:
Some users have expressed that Sapphire point packages might be too small to be useful, and Sapphire points cannot be combined with RCI points from other resorts.

25,000 rci points is 25,000 rci points. If you are booking within the last call window which is typically 45 days out and has to be a weeks deposit with a low trading point value- you could conceivable get 3-4 weeks. It doesn't even have to be off season, although you may have more options off season. You still would have to pay $299 (or $309) per week exchange. The same type of inventory that you get with the $299 plus 6000-10000 points can typically be had as a rental through last call for $309-$379+ tax (no points required). Sometimes, the off season inventory goes on sale for less than the exchange fee, you may see sales for $199 plus tax rentals. BUT also remember that many resorts (more and more these days) are adding resort fees and/or parking fees and of course if you are looking at Caribbean and Mexico many are mandaotry all inclusive with very high per person per day all inclusive fees.

Are you already an owner or are you within your rescission period or are you just thinking about buying?
