Hello all - I was able to grab a 4 Bedroom with a 1 Bedroom II exchange to the cliffs. I usually stay at Waiohai Beach Club - So i was wondering if anyone has experience to compare and contrast Princeville vs Poipu. I am familiar with Kauai as I have been there several times but this would be the first time staying in Princeville other than a day trip.

How are people's experience at the Cliffs? What would my expectations be if I am use to staying at Waiohai Beach Club in terms of activities, service, pools, and kid friendly activities?

Just wanting to do some research before I make a final decision.

Thanks!

I also would love information about The Cliffs. Have thought of staying there many times but never have. Very familiar with WPV and the area, but not that resort. (The no A/C has always seemed like a potential issue....).

It has been years since we sold our unit at The Cliffs Club. It is a mixed use property with some units being privately owned and some as timeshares.

We had a two bedroom two bath unit, which was actually one private bedroom and an open loft that made up the second bedroom. As noted, they do not have air conditioning. Depending on the time of year or what one is use to that can be an issue.

The pool was re-done many years ago, which made it nicer than the original basic design, but it still isn’t anything to write home about. I don’t recall activities other than a putting green and tennis court, but a current owner or recent guest can provide their experience. They usually bring in vendors one morning to promote their respective activities.

If I had a choice I would pick Waiohai if available. In Princeville the Westin Princeville is outstanding too. If you really want to stay in Princeville and this is your only option it can work. The area is beautiful. Avoid winter months as it rains a lot.
