Does anyone have a map of where the One Bedrooms are located at Nanea? Or at least a description? Are they the ones that are facing the turn around for the shuttle with the “BEEP, BEEP, BEEP”?

All of the 48 1-bedroom villas at Westin Nanea are located in Buildings 3, 5, 6, 7 and 8.

In Buildings 5, 7 and 8 half of the 1-bedroom villas face inward towards the resort, half face outward towards parking or adjacent property. The 1-bedroom villas in Building 3 all face outward. The 1-bedroom villas in Building 6 all face inward toward the resort at each end of the building (6x07 and 6x15).

Thank you for this info!

For the life of me I don't know why they have no OF 1-bedroom units at Nanea. This is the primary reason we didn't buy and bought all OF at WKORV-N instead.

Because they could sell more expensive 2- and 3-bedroom units.

Or barely any. Understood that the 2-bed lockoff takes much more sf than the non-LO., they should have made them lock-offs with 2-bedrooms to create the 3-bedrooms.

Maui regulations did not allow lockoff construction.

Not the best map, but if you look closely, you can figure it out. This was given to an owner at a sales presentation:

Controller 1 - this is a great map! However, I just noticed a "typo" in the map -- Building 8 has TWO "7s" on it..one of the 7s should be an "8". the only reason I noticed this was we bought a 1 bedroom here and have stayed in 8507 for the both years we've gone (we're due again in Feb 2021) so I immediately looked for this room. I also know that 8x08 is a much better room with better view and more sun and I tried looking for that...which is when I noticed the typo. 8x07 has view of the ocean but it's partially blocked by the oceanfront villas and it can get very cold and windy because it isn't in the sun most of the day. You're also looking into the resort next door... But thanks for the map...now I know that I definitely need to avoid the rooms that are further back on the property!

Good eye!

I toured Westin Nanea after it was first opened. They were having Easterly Kona winds and I could smell the very nearby sewage treatment plant. As a result, when I put in wide exchange requests my wife doesn't want me to include Westin Nanea or Westin Kaanapali North.

Was my own experience of a slight sewage odor (1) a once-in a life time occurance, (2) a low occurance situation or (3) something that happens regularly when there is a Kona wind?

We have never smelled the sewer while at Ka'anapali North but we have smelled it while in the parking garage at Nanea. We've never smelled it from the lanai of our villa but we do own oceanfront. I believe the villas facing outward in Buildings 3, 5 and 6 are more susceptible to smelling the sewer plant at Nanea when the winds are blowing in the "wrong" direction.

Thanks. Perhaps I should increase my current request to include Westin North.

We’ve stayed at the North property and never experienced any smells (other than some good BBQ wafting up). This was just a few months before Nanea opened.

Never stayed at Nanea, but have used the pool probably 3-4 days of our last stay at KORV. Didn't notice any smell from pool or from limited walking to and around Nanea.
