I listened to someone else instead of my better instincts and shipped a platter to my set of china to Florida. It arrived broken. I have been attempting to file a claim for days. In between I make trips to the post office They won't help
first problem, won't upload files over 2 jpegs, which the receipt is over .
take pictures, email to self, save
fill out form, and get to an endless loop you can save it, (it really doesn't save part of information disappears), or you can review your claim, but there is no submit claim button. I have called so many numbers and now am on a callback wait of one hour Where I sincerely hope someone can tell me what to do to get the online claim to go through. paid extra for the damn insurance and it isn't fair that they do everything to stop you from filing a claim.

I feel for you. I have had to report missing deliveries with USPS and their website was just about impossible to navigate. I can't even remember how I was finally able to report it.

I'm so sorry. USPS is not exactly a customer-service focused organization.

Our local post office will not answer the phone at all. When Rick's stepmom died I tried to cancel her mail and have it forwarded to us, and the form they gave me apparently went to the dead letter office. It's as though I didn't file that form.

my own mail deliverer and neighbor who is a postman who lives across street have tried to help, but no one will help at post office

still waiting for call back and the page disappeared and can't get back on the site again which is what happened last week

Do you have your own online account at USPS.com that you are trying to file the claim through?

site is now down, and the site doesn't like Google Chrome so have to try with a different browser and you do have to have an online account to file the claim

I changed browsers and I still get nothing but review or save. And the save button still doesn’t work

Have you cleared your cache, cookies and temporary internet files?

Have you contacted the Post Master General in your area?
Second suggestion contacted your Congressional House of Representative in your area. The USPS must respond to your Representative. I have gone thru this with my local post office. Good luck.

Forget all the other crap. Write a letter to your Representative enclosing all your documentation. I would send it to his/her District Office, not their DC Office. It may take a while but my experience is this is the only way you will get action...

I send my valuables with insurance using FedEx. They pay immediately, as long as you have your receipts. No sweat on them because the residential delivery guys are sub contractors and they take the claim out of their pay. No problem, except that these things happen. We had a Christmas delivery stolen a few years ago because the lazy ass delivery guy left the packages on the ground by the mailbox on the end of a 1000 ft driveway instead of driving to the front door. Some thief was following the truck and picking up the deliveries. BYE BYE Driver! Delivery instructions - LEAVE ON FRONT PORCH.

You can still mail a claim form -- that option has not gone away. It might be faster -- you may have to pick up the form from the post office, but based on your stated experience, it might be quicker.

Yes use the POST OFFICE. After all they deliver the mail! Not EMAIL. USPS has lost so much revenue from email.

They do not give them out at post office, you call a special number and they will mail it in five to ten business days

I can't guarantee this is the most updated form for claims, but if all else fails, I'd try it. When you call, I doubt they are sending you a prefilled form...

Good luck.
