Live Flight Tracker Map

This flight tracker map is awesome, let's you see flights 'live' as they travel on the airways. Makes it easy to see what areas have heavier air traffic than others, and where the airports are in case that is important when planning a vacation. Flight traffic varies throughout the day so this tool is best used over time.

It also lets me see what is flying over my house! I live along one of the approach paths to the Phoenix SkyHarbor Airport and plan to move in the near future and this tool is helping me see how to avoid living in an approach path in the next house. :D

These are cool, and there are many different sites that access the raw data, flytetrax, flightaware, etc.

Note that the data is usually delayed a bit, so not perfectly real-time but close.

while flightaware (my fav) say's it's 'real time' it's not (yet). But, the flightradar24 is currently real time. That might change, but it's crazy accurate right now.

Yes, I forgot about FlightRadar24. They use the actual positioning data transmitted directly from the aircraft to ground receivers (when available). Others use FAA data feed which is usually delayed by a few minutes.
