Is there a link to give others who might want to join ?

Bill

You're a bit late buddy but I did find a link in the forum at the top called support. Having a visible link to invite others to join the fun might be something to look into.

Not even a thank you? You only posted the question today and the response was only a little more than an hour later. Maybe you should have done your own research before asking, then criticizing Brian for not responding to you quickly enough.

Geez, TUGBrian - It took you almost an hour and 20 min. to respond - what kind of customer service is that??? ;)

Golly Brian. I don't know how to reply to the critics finding fault with me finding a link on my own. I do know how but you know how it is.

The fault with you is that you didn't even thank Brian for responding with the information you asked for. It's called common courtesy.

Instead of "You're a bit late buddy" (after only about an hour) you could have said something like "Thanks Brian, I was able to find the information on my own". :wall:

Maybe your eye sight is as off kilter as your comments. You didn't notice I liked Brian's reply which is an acknowledgement of appreciation, imo. :)

In the blue bar at the top of the page, you will find this link:

Guess not. Read the words not the emoji. imo a thank you would have been nice.

Its like Thumper Says in Bambi: "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." I had other choice comments, but I took Thumper's mama's advice.

this thread took an odd turn...

From what I can see, there still isn't a link or process to gift a TUG membership. Perhaps if you know their email address you can sign them up yourself?

He didn't ask for a gift link - he asked for a link he can give to others. Post #2 has the link.

yes, that is how most people purchase a membership for someone else.

simply entering their email address will generate the receipt (and subsequent new member email) sent to that email address directly. though in many cases getting something like that unsolicited can result in them deleting it as spam unless they knew or expected it was coming etc.

My thought is that a yellow dot in the forum upper area with the words join tug here or something to that effect would be noticeable and likely used. After clicking on the dot a join option page would come up. Maybe to get new people to join a 30 day trial could be added.

A personal referrral link would be good too. I know people can putin the name of a referral when they sign up but not everyone does that. I know a few peole have signed up from finding TUG trough myYouTubevideo descriptions but they never mentioned it as a referral. Personal referral links would aleviate the issue of lost referrals.

I use the tug site often and it took a while for me to find a link. I imagine others who are new members or just looking at the site never find one and never ask. I really never thought about this until friends about to retire asked how we are able to stay at resorts so often.

I would guess that most people that I talk to that say they are checking out tug don't give my name as a referral. It could be that many have just met us and they don't remember our names but they remember tug. That's different with friends and family how do know my name and have joined after I tell them about tug. I'm not sure why these people don't show up as referrals. I even allowed a few to sign up on my laptop at our home.

easy enough to change the menu title!

will 1000% say that the most common thing entered into the referral line was "dont remember their name"
